Overview: Nexus Media Importer allow you to import and stream music, video, photos and document from a USB flash drive or SD card conct to your Nexus 7, or other Andro 3.2+ device.

Nexus Media Importer allow you to import and stream music, video, photos and document from a USB flash drive or SD card conct to your Nexus 7, Galaxy Nexus, or other Andro 3.2+ device with USB Ho support. T is the only non-root solution for device th do not provide nive support for external flash storage. Require the follow hardware:

1) An Andro 3.2+ device. Example include Google Nexus device or the Motorola Xoom.

2) A USB OTG (On-The-Go) cable. Co approximely $1 USD on Amazon), see screenhot for example.

3) A USB Flash Drive or USB SD Card Reader and SD Card, see screenhot for example.

To use:

-If you are us an SD card reader, put the card in the reader firt.

-Attach the OTG cable to the Nexus or other device.

-Attach your USB device to the OTG cable.

-The applicion will launch automily.

-Select the file. The select file’s ph appear in the preview window (currently only photos show preview).

-Click the play icon to stream or the save (disk) icon

-If save is succesful, you can click the download notificion to view it or see it in the Downloads app.

Techni Note:

-DOES NOT REQUIRE ROOT!

-The USB drive/flash card mu be formt as FAT16, FAT32 or NTFS (currently no exFAT or extN support). FAT & NTFS are the mo common form for SD and USB Drive.

-Read Only. You can not write to the tach device, only copy to the Andro device.

-T a media streamer and file copy utility. It require third party software to view multimedia content and read document. Many form are support directly by Andro, but other are not. In particular, “MKV”, “AVI” and mo doc. type require additional software. There are many excellent free and paid apps. in the Play market.
